Book Review, Evening

The evening book group also meets in a member’s home on the third Monday of the month, but at 7 p.m.. The host has the option of choosing the book. Come and join us. It will become your favorite night out! If you have not finished the book yet, come out anyway. You will still enjoy the discussions and the friendship!

Creative Expressions

The Creative Expressions discussion group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month to discuss interesting topics. If you have a subject you would like us to explore, feel free to bring it along! We meet at a different restaurant each month so we can have breakfast with our discussions.

Money Group

A Money Group is like a book club, but without books. It is a bunch of friends who get together on a regular basis to talk about financial matters. At one meeting, we might talk about getting the right life insurance; at another, paying for our children/grand-children’s college education or figuring out how to quit quibbling with your partner over spending habits. The point of a Money Group is to learn about and discuss your financial life.

REEL Day Out

Come join us for a fun afternoon at the movies, and an optional lunch with movie discussion afterwards. This group meets on the last Saturday of each month Due to changing movie schedules the decision on what to see and where is made only the day before (Friday) by the hostess of the month. They meet in the lobby one half hour before the start of the show. Bobbie and Fran are chairing this popular group.

Scrap Booking

The Scrapbooking Group meets on the third Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon. Just bring your photos and we can map out a plan that works best for you! From digital albums to pocket page albums to traditional scrapbooking, there’s something for everyone!

Sit and Stitch

The Sit and Stitch Group works on anything requiring a needle or a crochet hook. We usually meet on the third Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon for stitching and conversation.

TNT (Travel & Tours Group)

This is a group for those who like to travel or who like to dream about it.

In-Home Gourmet Dinner

Our Gourmet Club now has two groups who enjoy homemade gourmet meals each month. We take turns meeting in members’ homes, usually on the third Saturday of the month. If you would like to join a group—or just visit—please call Roberta.

Lunch Bunch I

Lunch Bunch-I is very popular. They reserve a table for the third Thursday of the month at different local restaurants and just meet and eat.

Does a gourmet luncheon once a month sound good to you?  You are invited to join our interest group. Members prepare homemade “gourmet” lunch fare and take turns hosting the group in their home.  We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. Contact Roberta if you’re interested in this group.

Wine Tasting

This is a very relaxed group.We meet at members’ houses at a date determined by the host. The host decides on the theme for the wines and purchases them. Guests bring a heavy appetizer and pay the host $10 p.p. to pay for the wine. A group of great friends, who love sampling wines and good food. Make sure the group leader has your email address (preferably) or your phone number, so we can advise you of last minute events.We welcome new tasters anytime! Bridge II, Evening

This group meets at private homes on the second Saturday of the month at 7:30 p.m..

Bridge III, Evening

Couples Bridge III meets the fourth Friday of the month.

Last Thursday Bridge, Daytime

This group plays on the last Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Canyon Crest Country Club.

Saturday Night Bunko (mixed) *

This mixed group meets occasionally on a Saturday night.

Bunko I *

Bunko I meets the second Wednesday of the month.

Bunko II *

Bunko II normally meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

Mah Jongg

The Mah Jongg group gets together every Tuesday evening. The events are held at rotating homes.The game begins at 7:00 p.m. and finishes no later than 10:00 p.m. Each week members are notified about who will host the next game. Light refreshments are served. We are always looking for additional players and are happy to instruct those who would like to learn a fun game and meet additional Newcomers Club members. Come each week or just once in a while. You are always welcome! .

Tennis Anyone?

Tennis meets monthly. We have tennis parties. Yoga is on our list also.

Hiking

The Hikers group meets monthly. The hikes are around Riverside so you can see our beautiful city while exercising. Yoga is on our list also.
